Heinrich "Henry" Bar (1715–1771) immigrated from Switzerland to the Pennsylvania Colony on December 11, 1739, arriving at the port of Philadelphia with his brother, John. Following the grueling 10-to-26-week ocean crossing, they took the Oath of Allegiance
